The reputation of your company and your brand are as important as your personal reputation, and a lot of times are rooted in the culture of your company. We hear all the time that a leader’s reputation is different than a company’s reputation. Not true. They are almost one in the same. In fact, your personal reputation is often more important to potential clients than the company’s.

In a study by Weber Shandwick, 49% of the reputation of a company is attributed to their CEO. 60% of a company’s market value is derived from its reputation. The same study shows that eight in ten executives say consumer beliefs about a company’s top leader affect their opinions about a company.

Clearly there is a lot at stake when it comes to the reputation of a leader.
